The issue of same-sex marriage has been bringing up many conflicts and objections for the past years. Even after the legalization of same-sex marriage, many hold opposite opinions of the legalized law. Here are some reasons why same-sex marriage should have not been legalized in not some, but in any of the states in the United States.

Legalizing same-sex marriage is disobeying God’s law. In the beginning, God has created one man and one woman, Adam and Eve, in an image of God as an example of perfect marriage. This shows that God has first set His law of how a marriage should be. God commanded us to listen and obey His words and laws. Also, in Genesis 1:28 He said “And God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply and fill the earth and subdue it and have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the heavens and over every living thing that moves on the earth.” People who are committed to same-sex marriage would not be able to reproduce in numbers and have children like what God has told Adam and Eve, all human-beings, to do.

As a country built under God’s guidance, I don’t think the United States should be the one that is going against God’s commands. In God’s blessings, United States has become one of the most powerful countries in the world. Like we have been before, the officials should reconsider about the legalizations of same-sex marriage and strictly limit marriage to one man and one woman because the legalization is simply going against God’s plans and purposes for the humans He has created and the reason why God had sent His son, Jesus Christ to this world to save us from the sin. Until the end of the world, we should always keep in mind of what God has commanded us and abide by God’s laws and commandments as the children of God.
