Every Life is a Gift from God

According to statistics from the Guttmacher Institute, about half of all pregnancies among American women are accidental and twenty-one percent of all pregnancies end in abortion. The thing most people don’t realize is that no pregnancy is accidental. Though the woman herself may not have planned for the pregnancy, God had his hand in it and he planned for that baby to come into existence. Medical science has proven that life begins from the very moment that the sperm enters the egg meaning that from that point on, there is a living being inside of that woman. So when a doctor performs an abortion, they are essentially committing murder and harming an innocent child that has done nothing wrong which deliberately goes against what the Bible says and it goes against the laws we have in our society today. Just because the child isn’t born yet, it doesn’t mean that it’s okay to terminate its life before it truly get a chance.
It has also been proven that abortions can be very dangerous to women. According to, many complications can happen which could leave the woman never being able to bear children again. Not to mention the psychological stress and trauma and the regret that the woman has to live with for the rest of her life. The majority of abortions are for teenage girls who think that they have no other choice because they don’t want anyone to find out what they’ve done but it also means that they are too young to know how to deal with the emotional trauma brought on by abortion.
If a woman doesn’t want to get pregnant then she should never put herself in a situation where there is even the slightest possibly. I understand that there a some situations, such as rape, where the woman can’t really be held responsible but that doesn’t mean that they should take away that life before it even has a chance to grow into a person and do the will of God. In any situation, whether you don’t want the child or you know you would not be fit to take care of this child, adoption is always the better option. There are some couples that are not fortunate enough to be able to have children and adoption is the only way they can love and raise a child as their own.
